One of the best small under rated taverns in the area. The draft beer is always cold. Food always hot and delicious. Prices are super great. And service is absolutely amazing. One of my faves is the chicken cheesesteak, best value.

Great place. Just an amazing find. Companion had the chicken Parm, I did the cheese steak. What a great place. Kind of slow but it fits the ambiance. All we're happy. The onion rings are amazing. Friendly staff and will do this place over again next visit.

This place. You must come through. I had friends visit me for Thanksgiving, and we decided to watch the NFL game. Little did we know, we came too late and the kitchen was closed. REGARDLESS, they said we can still order and get some food as a one-time deal. I decided to get some wings and let me tell you... these wings are the best wings I have ever had in a while. I was completely blown away, and all of my friends who didn't want wings to begin with decided to jump on them, and I wish I had ordered more! I'm definitely coming back as soon as possible. Vikki was our lovely host and she gave all of us so many gifts! She deserves a raise! To top all of this greatness, they played Linkin Park. Hands down the greatest place on earth!

For the last 5 years we lived down the street from River Road Tavern. Went for the first time on a Saturday night for a night cap and was hooked. Took my cousin there tonight for dinner and drinks and the menu had so many options and when we got the food OMG the food was delicious. Who doesn’t love a good bartender… Harry and Sara were the best: We will be back for sure, maybe even tomorrow night ! Corn Nuggets were the 💣

This is a great dive bar with awesome food. Harry is an incredible foodie who has curated a perfect bar menu over the last few years. Their burgers, wings, French dip and pierogi are some of our favorites. Good beer selection and great bartenders. This spot is a local favorite and it packs a crowd of regulars. They have done a lot of face lifting over the past few years and really spruced the place up without removing that cool dive bar type of vibe. If you have never been or haven't been in the last few years, definitely check them out.

Great local restaurant and bar. Food is almost gourmet. I will detour through Piscataway just to stop at River Road Tavern anytime in the area now.

Long standing community staple, and I hope it’s there for many more years! Great people and great food. It’s hard to come by a good wing, but these wings are amazing!! Might take a while to get served during busy hours, but food is always on point.

Reviews don't lie, the food here was excellent and I wouldn't call it bar food. They clearly take pride in what they serve and the bartender knows what he's doing (he braised the meat). Everything was fantastic and the atmosphere was as another review said, like Cheers. No one was crude and we had several teen girls with us that thought the bar banter was great as they watched a womens soccer game (we were there for a soccer tournament). Definately would go again. Just took a star off for atmosphere only because there isn't much seating outside of the bar and yea, it is a bit of a local dive bar let's be honest. A totally fantastic one.

Stopped in to watch some golf & ended up staying for hours. perfect little relaxed dive bar, good selection of bar food, spring drink menu, tvs, & danny the bartender was awesome. people there were friendly! overall had a good time with my husband.
